No! So soon!

Well I just got done doing a MASSIVE amount of laundry. Basically every article of clothing I own. I'm still not finished either. I can't wait to get this garage sale going! It'd be cool if I could incorporate it onto the internet in a fun way. We'll see. I just want my closet to be organized and functional like it's supposed to be.

Ugh anyway, I always get side-tracked. Tomorrow I'm back to classes. Wish me luck! I hope to get all A's again this semester. I'm going to go to the International Students office to get the scoop on exchanging to Japan! I have a feeling I'm going to be totally too busy for the next 4 months, but seriously, these are my favorite months. I am going to make the best of them! I need to make a checklist...

In total randomness. LOOK AT THIS! I NEED IT TO LIVE!

Now I'm not really a bag person. I've gotten into using them for school, but not without irritation. BUT THIS BAG I CAN SLEEP IN IT! It's so huge and full of Kitty-chan-ness that I would probably use it for travel as well. Oh I ache without it, and that's a strange thing for me to say....about a bag!

My style.

I realized I love painting long flow-y lashes on dolls, but I'm rarely allowed to. I can't wait to get my dolls here and I can express my style at will. That's a great feeling. I love, love helping others bring their dolls to life, but sometimes I miss what I want. Bikou and Momochuu, you're gonna be the coolest! My first character dolls. My first dolls that I actually had motive for buying other than "Oooh pretty!". I cannot wait for them. Oh how I will love them!
\( ^ O ^ )/

Get back on that horse stupid!

I almost wanted to quit every hobby I have last night. Lol. I was doing commissions and playing Call of Duty:MW2 in between drying times. I could not do either with any skill! It was like my ability to function was stripped from me! I don't know why things like that happen, but it get's really frustrating. What was weird though, only an hour after I felt like quitting, I kept thinking about both. After I washed off the one doll head in defeat, and realized it was dry again I decided I had to continue. My mind couldn't rest. Also the game I won in CoD re-lit the flame. So now I'm almost done the commission and not so stressed out.

However! I go back to school WEDNESDAY! I cannot believe it. WEDNESDAY! It still feels like August just began. Damn time! Why do you go by so fast!? Good thing I cleaned my room in time for school to start. Now I don't have to worry about that jazz. I do have to wash lots of clothes though (T O T ).

I will go swimming today, it's hot and summer is almost gone. I'm clinging onto the few days I have left!

From none to two!

I just put an Elf Ante on layaway through Denver Doll Emporium!!! > (^ O ^ )/ I bought her little underpants, little brown Mary Janes, and the cutest blonde wig. I am so excited! I can't believe I'm getting 2 dolls! Lol. Yes it's a lot of money, but these dolls are not like computers, or furniture where they start losing value right when you buy them!

My little Momochuu! ( > o < ) I got to make her some taru "armor". White mage? Black mage? Hmm..
I put her on a 3 month layaway just in case I'm not able to make a payment. I'm sure I will pay it off before 3 months is up though. I want her now!! Haha.

桃チュウ~

So I was frolicking around Windurst, looking at character names, trying to come up with a name for my Tarutaru Little Fee Elf Ante. ( ^_^ )
I noticed the female taru's have names with repeating sounds like firere and panroro. I thought it was funny that I believed a name like momoko would be proper for my taru girl. I didn't really like momoko too much, and there are also other wonderful dolls called Momokos. I was walking around, walking around. Then, I saw a little taru with "chu" in her name. Automatically I thought, "hmm maybe Momochuu? Wait what does momo even mean in Japanese?" Well, it means peach/pink! Perfect! I knew "chuu" was an Onomatopoeia for *kiss* in Japanese. Perfect again! My little taru girl is finally named, and it is Momo-chuu!

Decided to investigate.

Last night I successfully threw, with a lot of help from my friends, a surprise party for our friend Justin. He goes, well went, to an audio school in the city, and they don't get much of anything when they finish the program. So I thought it would be a great idea to do something for him. I mean he worked so hard, we rarely saw him. I made him a cake too \( ^ _ ^ )/

I woke up too early, I couldn't get to sleep until 5am for some reason. Now I'm heading out to Mitsuwa to pick up a manga I ordered. Then it's back home for commissions!

So I've been on the hunt for realistic and beautiful looking eyes for my dolls. I am not a fan of the acrylic "printed" look, and I wasn't having luck with glass eyes. Silicone I dislike because the whites of the eyes look strange. I decided to investigate urethane eyes. I know they're expensive, but I was really blown away with all the choices and quality. You can get almost any color with no pupils from Enchanted. I was really smitten with this pair. They would be great for my Little Fee Ante tarutaru!

The downside is they can get scratches and they take months to be made and sent to you. I know as a doll lover I should be used to that, but waiting that long is for whole dolls! Speaking of which, I'm waiting on my Crobidoll Jerome and am getting excited more and more as the days pass. I cannot wait!

It's all down hilly willy from here.

Just be prepared, this is a long story about nothing important. Rather, it's an incoherent rant about insanity over cuteness.

So this past Saturday I mentioned I went to a doll meet in NYC. I got to meet many YoSD sized dollies. Did I expect that I would start to want one so badly? No, not at all. I wasn't ever into anything smaller than a MSD, well, until Pukipukis came along. Even then, however, I wasn't too gung-ho about them. I don't know what it was! Something just sparked. So I was seeking a Volks YoSD, just for fun, and was kind of not feeling too many of them. Then, I was like "Duh! Megan, Fairyland. Duh." I sped over to the site to only again remember that Denverdoll.com is a supplier (layaway!). Oh boy. Yeah, I just was eying YoSD sized dolls with not much motive or story in mind. That changed when I was looking at a LF Piki. All of a sudden it hit me...TARU TARU! I was overtaken by the idea, and almost struck with diabetes! The idea was just so sugary-cute to me. My mind is pretty set on an Elf Ante, because gosh they are soooo cute! I was so inspired I even made a mock-up. She will be cosplaying as a mage you better believe it!! There's a lot of will power being used up trying not to place an order. What to name her though?

P.S. Today I finished paying the pre-order for FFXIV Collectors Edition! \( ^ O ^ )/

Going to throw up..

I think Amalgam is an Elfdoll Aden.....*blank stare* On second thought, doesn't he kind of look like Jackson Rathbone in my drawings? Weird.

Make your own Dream

Sunday, August 22, 2010

Well....

I did it. I ordered Bikou. *gulp* So many conflicting feelings!! Haha. That was a lot of money! I'm excited though. One step closer to having my 3 girls, which I'm about to make tiny dreams of to make me feel better about my recent plummet into poverty! Lol.

Evey & Hitomi!

Update: Crobidoll confirmed my order. There's no turning back now! I wonder how fast, or slow ( . _ .), it will take to get here!! I got to finished cleaning up my room!

Make your own Dream

Lovely city stroll.

I just got back from a trip to NYC. There was a meet today where I met the lovely Gulshan to pick up her two glorious J.I.D.'s for a face up. The whole thing made me miss having a doll terribly. I gave in a little and put up a WTB thread on Den of Angels.

Oh that's right I did not mention the change that occurred! Long story short, I was confused on how to handle dividing the shipping and how long to keep the GO open. This gave me the feeling that I shouldn't do a GO, and also my lone participant backed out. I was a bit sad, more relieved, and mostly confused. I want a Crobidoll Jerome! I'm just having a hard time ordering it and forking over the moola. I don't think anyone is going to want to buy an R-line boy body and I won't be able to buy Evey. So I'm taking my luck with a WTB thread. *Crosses fingers*.

As I was saying, I was in NYC. While walking to 33rd street I found the Nintendo store! Yep it was a pleasant surprise. They have a giant king slime from Dragon Quest and I want it. I took a picture on my phone but will upload it later.

Then walking on 6th Ave I noticed there was a street fair going on. So much good food, but I didn't want to have to wrestle with my book bag for money and have to juggle the food and all. So I settled for a FREE Cherry Dr. Pepper! That's right a FREE COLD Dr. Pepper. The guy was like "Get your free Dr. Pepper!!" as he was setting up right in front of me walking towards him. I audibly said "Reaallllyy?!". Lol, it was a dream come true!

I then stopped at the Kinokuniya, and had a brief conversation with the most ADORABLE little Japanese boy. He was speaking Japanese with his dad the entire time, but when the dad went up to get some food he came over to my side of the table. He was staring at me and asked me "What's that?" and pointed to my food. I was like  ( o O o ). Soooo cute!! I wanted to say somethings in Japanese to him, but chickened out.

I'm about to go out with my parents for my Dad's birthday. Then I will continue with work ( ^ _ ~ )v.

So long blog.

Ok am I having a conniption?

As stated before I formed a Group Order for my purchase from Crobidoll. Well someone finally wanted to participate and I was already convinced no one was going to join! Haha. It threw me for a loop! So after changing things up A MILLION times I finally got things in order. The real date is set to order my Bikou (びちゃん)! Eeep! So excited and so nervous to actually spend that much money " "( o . o )" ".

Good news too! One of my friends from Japanese I is able to now take Japanese II! I was just excited about that. Lol. School starts in less than 2 weeks. My art teacher changed to some scary sounding person..! We'll see how this semester goes. I have to get the best grades I can! I must be able to exchange to Japan! Well that is, if my school even get's something set up. I will know more info on my first day back. I am determined! YOU GET YOUR OWN APARTMENT! Sorry, it's just too awesome.

I am cleaning my room and getting all my old junk ready to sell in a garage sale to earn money for said high hopes ^_~. I will finally put in that closet organizer that I was supposed to get installed 5 YEARS AGO!

Life is good.

I caught the Volks bug!

I never really understood Dollpa's or limited lottery items or even how the heck to order a Volks doll. I just looked, saw it was a bit more complicated than other doll companies, and gave up. I would see Volks on the marketplace being priced so high, and I thought, they must only be sold in Japan at Japanese Dollpa's or something! (Durrr). Recently, I started to fall in love, and actually pay attention to how much I liked certain molds. Could I tell you the names right now without looking? Of course not! But I still do love them! Volks' sculpts are so easy to face up, and paint on too. So anyway, I suddenly got the urge to figure this Volks stuff out, especially since I missed the one in NYC. I took a trip to the News/Events thread in DoA and saw all these people winning the lottery items for a Dollpa in Osaka. Call me dumb, but I was like "whaa they don't live in Osaka?!" I get it now! OH GOOD GRIEF I GET IT NOW! I think it is bad that I did because I'm aching. Look at this!

How adorable!! \\( T O T )//

Whyyyyyyy!!!! o. ( ~ o ~ ) .o

Will I be ready for the next one!? At $900 + I don't think so. I am trying to save up for my flights to Japan next year (crosses fingers). BUT! I will be in Osaka! (^_ ~ )v

There's no time to waste..

I wanted to get most of the dolls I had here done, but when I walked out of my room it was sooooo gross outside. Then the thunderstorm came and went and I'm sitting here wanting to do lots, but can't do anything. I also manage to run out of sealer before I order more. I'm an idiot. I have just a bit left and I have 3 more cans on the way.

I did a commission for Sadistic_x_blood on DoA and she sent me a pictures of him. Tan dolls are so handsome, but a tan El is gorgeous!

Also I did end up selling the Luts Wintery head (old Amalgam) and I offered the future buyer a face up of their choice with the sale. Well here he is all "naturale".

I decided to order 4, yes 4 wigs when I order my Jerome. It just makes sense to get all the wigs I want so that I don't have to pay for shipping from Korea more times than needed. I'm so excited I can't wait, but I have to! I started a GO, which no one seems interested, but I plan to still wait until the 22nd. Yay! The day before I have a doll meet I will be attending in NYC to see guls207 of DoA. It will be fun (even though I'm doll-less)!

Summer Matsuri feels like Fall Matsuri.

I was lucky enough to get to go to Mitsuwa's Summer Matsuri for a little bit today. Holy moly was it crowded! There wasn't any place to sit down and eat for a good 10 minutes. We kept getting tables taken out from under our noses. Luckily we found some and ate our ramen. It was really nice, and made me feel like I was in Japan, almost. Hopefully I will be able to go next year. *Crosses fingers*

Another thing I am lucky with is.. I'm getting an El! Very happy about that! I still haven't ordered the Crobidoll Jerome because I'm waiting to either get more funds or have people join my GO. Looks like no one wants in with me :(. I think part of me is stalling because it's such a big purchase. Hmm.

The Luts Wintery head that was Amalgam is BLANK! Getting him ready for his new face up so I can ship soon.  Lots of work to doooo!

This may be my future.

Getting my hopes way up, but I don't care, I love the instant gratifying high for something 1 year away. This may be my future..

MOMOYAMA University

Good news! Good news!

I have already reached my quota! I can order my JEROME! I'm so excited. I put up the GO at 4am today before going to bed. Haha. I'm a little be antsy to get to ordering. It's only been like 8 hours and I'm like "Whyyy isn't anybody joooining my GO!?!?" Today is also a nice cool one so I can start some commissions as well. I do not know if I will be able to airbrush today though. But! EEE! I'm going to be on the Crobidoll website like all day.

Come on who's with me?!!

Evey Miyazaki

I drew my new BJD character Evey Miyazaki, who is best friends with Hitomi Yaguchi. Came out of left field really. She's adorable though! Too bad my Blythe doll shares the same first name. (o . o ) Not sure what to do about that yet. ( 0 ^ - ^)  This Evey is my slightly geeky, closet hopeless romantic, Halloween loving sweet heart of a girl. She and Hitomi love dressing up together, cute things, and, corny enough, Harry Potter. That's not the inspiration for the round eyeglasses though. I can't wait to have them both together, like really.

I've got it!

I've finally figured out what to do in a series of steps.
  1. Buy Crobidoll Jerome
  2. Sell R-Line body
  3. Use funds to purchase AE Miriam.
  4. Sell AE body or trade for SD10/13 Volks body.
  5. Buy lots of Dollheart stuff! ( ^ O ^ )ノ
Yay! That will take forever won't it. Yeah pretty much, but I will have Hitomi, Bikou, and a third new character (Hitomi's friend). Awesome. So someone buy this Luts Wintery!!

My vision has become clear.

Normally I have a really hard time drawing what I see in my mind. That includes drawing things like faces with two eyes...a nose...entire head and hair, whatever! It leads me to never want to draw because I get so frustrated. But! Recently I've been able to translate onto paper what I am looking for in my characters. It's the strangest thing. There was a trade off though, of course. I cannot play Call of Duty right now to save my own real life, let alone my in-game one! Jack of all trades, master of none. That's me. Eh, but I'll take it. Drawing is a better skill anyway. The reason I mention this is because I never thought I'd fill up the "Drawing" category on this blog! Guess I was wrong. I drew(I can't stop apparently) Hitomi, my AE Mu, today.

I also took some pictures of Amalgam...which led me to think I should sell him. Yeah I am lame, but Amalgam's not in this mold anymore. Yeah Amalgam is still around, still my lovely boy, but the Wintery's not working.
(  ; - ; )

Ok!

Crobidoll Jerome is Bikou, Prise is a Supia Roda(?), and Amalgam needs to be more realistic. Does that mean I'm going to sell the Wintery head? Probably. ( . _ . ) Anyone else who reads this and is in the BJD hobby knows that what was previously said is like written in sand rather than stone.

But look! I drew up a more mature Amalgam! What mold does he look like though? I don't know! I would love to get a Minimee done, but I would need to draw specifics better and I do not think I have to ability.

Happier news? Look at these fweckles! (Puki fees belong to Kirika Dawn.)

Simmer down.

Ok the weather has been beautiful the past two days, and I am working on commissions again, finally. Yesterday I mentioned having doll selecting troubles. Well, last night I looked at my wishlist on DoA and saw that I put HZ Hui Ka down. I thought, wait a minute, let me look at that guy again! Sure enough I was like "Rune!". I believe this guy is Rune! He comes with awesome horns and has the saddest face. I think this is him! I have the money to buy him right now but....I really really wanted the Crobidoll Jerome for a long time. I think I will just keep saving, and buy the Jerome for now. If it doesn't work out I can alway sell again. I may even end up selling the R-line body anyway since the Jerome is supposed to be a girl. One thing though, I'm still not sure about HZ's resin quality. White skin looks really yellow, but he is pretty perfect for Rune. (It's stupid that his name is impossible to use in the forums search!!!)

Save money just to go crazy?

For the past couple of months I've been saving lots of money in hopes to buy a new doll or body. However, because of this mass amount of money I am saving, I am going a bit insane trying to find the right thing to purchase. Characters are flopping all over the place, morphing and splitting. I just wanted a Crobi Jerome!! This is not fair! I'm starting to look for new molds for Amalgam. It's quite frustrating...

I am also making new characters and looking for their possible molds, specifically Osiris and Rune's female counterpart, both involved in Rune's story. Endo Eiichi is looking like a Chrom again...and I even considered a Fire Lord Chrom for Rune. This hobby is impossible!!! Will I ever buy a doll!

Here are my mostly faceless characters.

Story I (Egyptian Underworld);
Rune
No name yet(female demon)
Osiris

Story II(Earth Protectors);
Amalgam
Prise

Single characters;
Endo Eiichi
Bikou

Movies and newses.

I upped the ante on my Netflix so I could feed my romance fix faster. Yeah recently I had a random urge to watch squishy love films. Random, that's me.

Looks like I will be redoing a face up which I am mostly happy about and determined. Sometimes a sculpt just gives you a hard time. The thing I dislike most is when lips do not have much definition. It's then easy for them to turn out looking like a duck bill or a sour face. ( > x O) So I'm dedicated and ready to fix this boy up RIGHT!
Rohava's boys were completed yesterday and are on their way home today. Ryu's are really handsome, crush.

Now about my dolls. I have a huge array of stories and possible characters collecting in my mind. It's a bit frustrating when you just want all of them in doll form now! It's impossible unless you're wealthy. I think because of this two characters are morphing into one! Bikou and Prise are becoming one. I am leaning more towards Prise though, since the story I created about her is more elaborate, and I also already have Prise's counterpart, Amalgam. The look however resembles Bikou's. So I'm saving to order a Crobidoll Jerome who I think can be Prise...but he maybe Bikou....or both...or neither. I seriously don't know. However I drew this up last night, and it surprised me. It's Bikou and it's Prise. What the hell!

Library's a buildin'.

Yesterday, big surprise, I went to Mitsuwa. I always manage to embarrass myself in the book store, and this time was no different. I wanted to get an easy Japanese manga so that I could practice. However, I get frightened to the verge of overwhelming proportion when I need to speak to the employees (I thought she said "ballroom" instead of "volume"; I tried to say "arigatou gozaimashita", but was unheard because she told me to come around the desk to correct something on my receipt.)
My embarrassing efforts were all in vain! The manga I wanted to ask about (because I couldn't find it) was Gakkou Kaidan. Long story short, I thought it was Gakkou no Kaidan instead of the correct Gakkou Kaidan. Based on the picture I asked my friend to pull up on his phone using the wrong title, we showed it to her and ordered. I thought it was the right one, but turns out "School Ghost Stories" is a very popular manga title!
(0 //- //o// -//). So I ordered this instead of this (or this). Yeah! Even the one I want has two different types!! So confused, but you can never be disappointed in Japanese ghost stories. I also bought this book, which I am joyous about.

School starts soon (Sept. 1st), which mean Japanese II starts soon, and I am very, very excited! Let see how I manage a 7 and a half hour gap in between classes. I hope my dad won't mind picking me up at 10pm.
( 0 ^_^)

Going to hang out with Mick tonight, as he doesn't have work tomorrow. Today is humid and gross so I cannot work on commissions. I hate it. I also forgot to mention that on Monday I went karaoke'ing for my friend Jennie's birthday. I ate kimchi at a Korean restaurant, and takoyaki (yes takoyaki!) at the karaoke place! Both we not bad but I definitely liked the kimchi more and would not hesitate to eat it again. Delicious!

My Azumanga Daioh dvds need to be broken out and watched again. It's been a while!

Taking it back to the early 2000s!

I was feeling nostalgic thinking back to how I used to obsess over making my own websites over the summer. There was a particular style bac...
